This is our contribution to react04, a very hastily made prod (one week or so of making), 50% of it done at the partyplace. Final version and win32 port will come in a few weeks.

I expected a better prod from you guys but that's the risk of party coding. But you tried and that's what matters the most.
Keep coding

Great athmosphere and great effects. Though I cant remember the music , I loved that sync at the end. No matter what Nuc says they deserved their place (where are the prizes anyway? :-) .

A great reason to return to my linux setting-up...

One can only say "the lab" upon watching such a prod! Too bad there wasn't time for more. Music was refreshing to listen to as well.

well done the lab :) (although I watched it only once - waiting for the win32 port :)..
just a request, for everyone's mental health: Nuclear, make sure next demo is finished before the party ;)
a big thumb up :)

Hi people, thank you all for your comments. I just wanted to let you know that I probably won't release a final version.
I have fixed some of the bugs of the demo AND compiled it under windows. But there are more bugs and I don't think I'll make the effort to fix them. Anyway if you really want to watch it on windows, feel free to get the latest code from my subversion repository, it includes project files for Visual Studio .NET and on my PC it runs on debug mode with few problems, if you decide to fix it let me know, here is the repository: svn://nuclear.dnsalias.com/pub/eternal_thelab/

Btw in case you want to use or improve the 3D engine which is under constant development, don't use the one from the demo, there is a much more recent version here: svn://nuclear.dnsalias.com/pub/3dengfx/
it includes makefiles for GNU/Linux as well as Visual studio .NET project files to build it as a library.
Oh and don't even try with Visual C++ 6.0 or the first version of .NET, the compiler sucks too much, it won't compile, use VC.NET 2003 or the "not-really-free" compiler that microsoft provides at their website.

After 19 years I decided to capture a video of this demo, which most people have never seen after the party, due to it being GNU/Linux exclusive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hD7SR9u_EAQ

I also uploaded the source code to github, after I did a few fixes to let it build on 64bit GNU/Linux: https://github.com/TheLabDemos/eternal
