Binary Odyssey, created by the talented demoscene group Futurist Computing Collective, is a mesmerizing and immersive audio-visual experience that pushes the boundaries of computer-generated art. As the demo unfolds, it takes the viewer on a captivating journey through a surreal world of binary code, showcasing the sheer creativity and technical prowess of the team.
The graphics in Binary Odyssey are nothing short of stunning. Intricate patterns, dazzling colors, and mesmerizing animations come together to create a visually rich and dynamic display. The attention to detail is remarkable, with each frame meticulously crafted to create a seamless and fluid visual experience. The use of light, shadow, and depth of field adds an extra layer of realism and depth to the visuals, making it a true feast for the eyes.
Accompanying the stunning visuals is a meticulously composed soundtrack that elevates the demo to new heights. The pulsating beats, haunting melodies, and intricate sound design combine to create an audio landscape that perfectly complements the visuals, drawing the viewer into the demo's world and enhancing the overall experience.
One of the most impressive aspects of Binary Odyssey is the technical prowess displayed by the Futurist Computing Collective. The level of programming and optimization required to achieve such complex and seamless visuals in real-time is truly commendable. The demo showcases the group's deep understanding of computer graphics and their ability to push the limits of what is possible in the demoscene.
However, as with many demos, Binary Odyssey is relatively short in duration, leaving the viewer yearning for more. Additionally, the demo may not be accessible to those who are not familiar with the demoscene or computer-generated art, as it requires some background knowledge to fully appreciate the technical and artistic aspects.
In conclusion, Binary Odyssey is a stunning showcase of the Futurist Computing Collective's talent and technical expertise. It is a visually and aurally mesmerizing experience that pushes the boundaries of computer-generated art. While it may not be accessible to all audiences, those who appreciate the demoscene and cutting-edge digital art will undoubtedly be captivated by this impressive demo.

cool concept, never do it again
Greetings from mfx (madwizards and farbrausch)
This demo is pretty cool, i like the cyberpunk theme and the voice over. The music is also nice and fits the demo. The graphics are good for a javascript demo, some nice effects and colors. The story is a bit confusing but i guess it’s about hacking and stuff.
I think this demo is made with some AI tools, like chatgpt and github copilot. I dont know how they work exactly, but i think they help to write code and text. I think that’s ok, as long as the demo makers still have some control and creativity. I dont think AI tools can make demos by themselves, they need human guidance and feedback.
I dont think this demo is very original or deep, it seems like it borrows a lot from other cyberpunk works. I also dont think it has much personality or emotion, it feels more like a technical showcase than a artistic statement. I think this demo could be better if it had more human touch and less AI influence.
I still enjoyed watching this demo, it was entertaining and impressive. I think this demo deserves a piggie, not a thumb up or down. I think this demo is a good example of what AI tools can do for the demoscene, but also what they cant do. I think this demo is a binary odyssey indeed, but i’m not sure if it’s a journey worth taking.

One of the standout features of Binary Odyssey is the use of hares as a recurring motif throughout the demo. Binary Odyssey by Futurist Computing Collective is an ambitious demo that explores the capabilities of ChatGPT and Midjourney. While the visuals and sound design were commendable, it fell short compared to the other entries in the compo. The competition had entries that had more impressive graphics, music, and captivating stories.
Nevertheless, we appreciate the effort and creativity put into Binary Odyssey, and we encourage Futurist Computing Collective to continue pushing the boundaries of emerging technologies. We look forward to seeing more from Futurist Computing Collective in the future.

groundbreaking
piggie for the idea, thumb down for the execution ... as expected after some hours testing the "AI" called ChatGPT - it's a nice 21th century tamagotchi but dumb and "creative" as a bucket of shrimp ...
An interesting concept.
