Nice The Planet of The Leather Moomins TIC-80 production with a bunch of relevant stuff in the scrollers
unfortunately played wrong during compo, orgas recorded on mac's latest tic80 which is not on same level as window's latest tic80, so music had some replay bugs, the 2 black screens are supposed to actually have an effect going, and the moon scene demake of lifeforce in the end didn't show the hand grabbing the moon which kinda ruined the climax of the demo.
made me quite upset during compo show because i had specified on orga comments that it should be played on the windows version (we knew about the mac version being bugged) and we even provided link to our own proper video capture, which was all clearly ignored.
but well, everyone makes mistakes under compo orga stress, we are all human after all. i'll take my apologies in attendance or remote submissions to inercia demoparty 2023 revision wild compo orgas!
thank you everyone for your kind words, was a lot of fun working on this demo with kaneel and evilpaul saving the day with some actually good effects! demo was highly inspired by my kid wanting to play pretend that he is a zombie and/or a robot all the time, and yes, did show the demo to him and he loves it :D the scene poetry philosophy creeped up subconsciously but im happy like how it all sort of fell together with an actual message of some sort.

This was a super fun prod to work on and I am indeed grateful. Didn’t see the compo so I’m also pretty bummed to learn about the replay issues. I’m sorry that you got hit by the Mikucom curse :(

Werd up to ps for keeping the TPOLM spirit alive through TIC80! As he discussed in his post-party vlog, if it motivates people to make demos who otherwise might not, what's to complain about? A shame it didn't run in the compo as expected.. if they do have a separate fantasy console compo next year, hopefully more attention will be given to running them right.

such a lovely demo! carries the early 2000s tpolm spirit into the present! great to see kaneel comeback, too. one of my party favourites.

Great demo with a cool theme and some strong effects. Sorry that things went pear shaped in the compo. Great to see more people repping the TIC-80 too. Fantasy console compo next year?
