tolemaC: who made you the boss of what is intros and what is not? an intro has nothing to do with the size, it's the amount of work put into it and the content that matters. A 64k or 4k intro is another matter.

kusma: as far as I know, and for the time I've been a scener, an 'intro' is a demo with a size limit... out of 'parameters', the default has always been (again, for the time I've been a scener), 64Kb for PC, and 40Kb for Amiga till some years ago (when they seemed to change the default in Amiga to 64kb too).

So, by itself, I'd (and many others) consider an intro, a demo with the default size limit (then you can add the '4kb', '256b', '128b' or whatever to it).

i totally agree with kusma - goddamn christ wankers, don't you have anything else in your silly fucking not even halfway witty excuse for a life to care about? this is an intro in the classical sense, like they once were spread (for an example, see cracktros/bbstros or perhaps one of these small-but-not-directly-confined-to-a-sizelimit intro's by a group called reality (yes, the ones who made that fancy adlib player back then)).

so shut the goddamn fuck up. this is an intro. if someone would've like to see 64k's only within this category, that someone should have named this category "64kb intro".

the whole idea indeed is that an intro isn't that big, but there certainly is no written rulen to enforce that as such. geez, go drink a beer or something instead of falling over such issues.

didn't the stupid word "dentro" appear in the late 80's around the same time this argument begun ?

oldschool intro..... puts me back to the middle 90's when i coded my first snow particles like these. pretty neat scroller and psychedelic color-cycling this is. nowadays people doesnt seem to care about size and only hardcore sceners use software in their productions.

itec: i believe dentro's were "little demos" with sizelimits such as 250k? :)
