All the usual stuff: Crinkler, 4klang/ForkedKlang, ShaderMinifier, Compofiller Studio. The 720p version runs at 60 fps on RTX 2070 Super.

Noby: thanks for inspiration! If it wasn't for your incredibly great visuals and sounds, I probably wouldn't have had motivation to keep making entries.
For the less knowledgeable reader, let it be explained that this prod of course parodies Noby's Absolute Territory from five years ago.
Path tracing is great for me, because all I need to do is, set up some lights and camera and it looks awesome - to me at least. I'm shooting 100 rays per pixel (max 4 bounces), and it allows for motion blur and depth-of-field etc. For the next compofiller prod I'll try framerate-adapting motion blur so that the "shutter speed" follows the frame refresh time. The RTX 3070 compo machine couldn't run the 1080p version at full framerate, and I should have more clearly asked for the 720p version to be used in the compo.
No effort was spent optimizing this at all, beyond removing clearly unused code and running Shader Minifier. I barely managed to finish the "story" before the deadline.
Thanks to Revision organizers as well. Without the party there wouldn't have been any reason to start making anything.

It's not easy to make people laugh with just a sphere and a few planes, but I burst into laughter when the ball made that silly sounding fanfare :D This is the proper way to troll demoscene.

Why does nobody complain about the ball having a square reflection.
lol I just noticed it and it bothers the hell out of me now :D
It's a bug in the routine that's supposed to randomly deviate reflected rays. I've since fixed it. Better version in the next prod.
