The perspective projected bevelled cube is composed of triangles, consists of 44 faces and 24 vertices, and is affine texture/env-mapped. The main reason that the cube is fairly slow does not have to do with the realtime-ness of it, but that 25% of the cpu per frame is spent on the rasterbars, music and scroller.
