by writing to AUDV0 and AUDV1 at every other line or so
as for IRQ, you can STA WSYNC which stops the CPU until the start of the next scanline. you have to count scanlines and handle VSYNC manually on the VCS, but there is a timer that makes it a little bit easier

yeah i know, i prepared some fixes but time ran out... and am prod lame, hehe
yeah, count the lines. every 3 line (76cycles) a call for sample, wasteing 4 we have naice 100 samples per frame; 5khz
i made all samples a factor of 100 that the sample handling (e.g. end of sample) can be done per frame.
didn't get the timer goin well. but may be my current expertise
