Fairly typical, sure, but I love the spirit, the music instruments, and the greetings part is great =)
The synth has some odd harmonics here and there, don't know if that's just oscillator aliasing or the musician went wild, but it's a reasonably entertaining intro and a well-deserved winner.

it, honestly, sounds like naive oscillators gone haywire, the aliasing detunes prominently (but i can't say for sure of course) - i had to put down my headphones after a while :)
other than that, ok intro, motivational thumb
nice. i like the planets in space part. reminded me of the starfox stage select
