I must speedup your code! I have to see how good would have been...
The only thing which can save you, is a sinus table. You should eliminate the FSINCOS and FSIN instructions, because of too much iterations (by one pixel).
An easy little speed bonus would be
to change the speed value from 100 to 0.01 and use DIVs instead of MULs.
(I don't beleive that a backbuffer could help you).
