no no no no no no no nooohoooohooohoho no
I felt very very uncomfortable watching this. :/
Ugh.... NOPE!
Depressing as fuck, not because of the content but on a more of a meta level. I mean I'd be depressed if I ever ended up making this. So I guess that means it worked in the end? Also ultimately what Gargaj said, which also I think works in favor of it. I'm so conflicted but... thumb, I guess?
Someone has been going too deep in the w e I r D Facebook ironic meme-world...
noby: That's not why though; I thought the ending joke was in terrible taste :/
Absolutely not. I don't know what the aim was for this, but that stadium shit was not funny. Not cool, just simply horrific.
Gargaj: yeah I know, I cringed at it too, but... it still worked for me in a fucked up sense. I guess I'm just not able to take it out of the intro's context.
I have really mixed feelings about this one. Presenting depression at point of view of depressed is good in my point of view. But if you actually wanted to do that why to make a joke about it? Is it just too fucked up view to present as is or do you think that it is so hard to relate to that it is funny?
I need more nfos about the authors of this prod coz i don't understand the story?
not sure what it tries to represent and how the text even ties into graphics. also looks ugly with plain graphics and comic sans.
I thought the stadium joke was funny.
disturbing, especially with the end suddenly going comedy. it was an uneasy feeling.
Ugly textures, ugly music. And cringeworthy story.
I like that blinking "Kill yourself". LOL... In the end we all die, it is really doesn't matter when there comes the end.
This was a train wreck from start to finish.
I wasn't sure whether the author wanted to have a serious demo on depression or a joke demo mocking depression. It just sent me subliminal messages to kill myself. I laughed at the end though.
Bad graphics, ugly textures, camera movements from the early eighties, repetitive music, usage of comic sans and spelling errors. That's ok, it deserved a piggie.
What it ruins it, is that terrible and disturbing message you had to convey.

nahhh. got me intrigued tho, and that's always nice.
I had a bit of discussion about this one with Knoeki after the party, because I recall it being entirely tasteless and not sincere whereas she held the opposite view. But then I rewatched it and it seems I was right
I would like more serious prods about depression and mental illness in general, by people with actual experience. This one does not have that kind of air to it
Holding off on downthumb in case the creators have something to add

Some naughty trolling with linear camera interpolation, comic neue (or whatever that font is) and hella bad scene poetry (or a mockery of just that). Pretty awful all-around, but also a tiny bit hilarious. Not quite sure if that was the intention.
Really crude execution and awkward direction on multiple fronts, but the atmosphere was genuinely weird and a bit disturbing.
It's really hard to say if this was a joke, a real expression of depression or both. Not thumbing it down, since it was kind of successful either way.

Nope. Poor taste indeed.
good lord
bah
Comic Sans?!?!?!
I think this prod is an interesting one. It started out very good but I'm not really sure about the ending, if it was meant as a joke or something else..
comic sans
Conceptually I found this one interesting. I can definitely see some links to depression here.
Execution wise, this could have been done a lot better. I don't necessarily think it's entirely in bad taste because I can relate somehow, but the not-so-fantastic design doesn't really help here.
Piggy for benefit of the doubt, because I'd rather not believe that people would actually make something like this with malicious intent.

I really wouldn't like to thumb this down, because there's ambition and it's obviously a beginner's work, but I just can't help it, because it makes me cringe on so many levels.
Here's some tips for the next time:
1) no Comic Sans. Please.
2) Stay away from linear camera paths. Use Catmull-Rom splines or something, or even just smoothstep interpolation or something, but a jerky camera like this is an instant killer of all that is good.
3) the meshes and the texturing need a _lot_ of work. Unless you got the tech for it, going for some kind of a realistic look will probably end up in a failure.
4) as someone who's struggled with depression, I found the ending going under my skin in a very unpleasant way. That is my problem, not yours, but it still affects how I feel about a production.

bad idea, even worse execution. the many typos were also quite depressing!
Terrible.
#rushhour3
Well, I ummed and ahhed, but ultimately, for the ability to cause the #feels.
if you can't make a joke about it then what is there left to do than kill yourself
my eyes got depressed watching this. and what Gargaj said. no thumbs down because it does not left me cold at all.
Love it! Ok, maybe to some the joke in the end is in bad taste, but nevermind. I thought it had the perfect aesthetics, capturing a kind of early 2000s nostalgia. Don't mind all the haters, this stuff is awesome from a technical and an arts perspective. Those #feels, this is an intro for the midnight dwellers.
seriously, this looks horrible. THIS LOOKS LIKE IT'S MADE WITH ROBLOX!
As a person who has dealt with depression...
This is very accurate.
This is very accurate.
.
piece of crap
Sorry, but this put my mood to depressed...on a demoparty! :p
So maybe mission accomplished, your intro does what you wanted it to do, spread depression, but i really really dislike the whole thing!
