Hell yes. Been waiting for a release like this for a while. :)

At long last, this is the original tracker Renaissance used to create the music for Amnesia, Zone 66, and a number of other prods. It is still unfinished, but very interesting to look at all the same!

Thanks go to Daredevil and Trixter for making this release happen.

WOAH. Wasn't expecting to see this (ever!)
22 years of not being vaporware. Nice.

...ten seconds in and I found a way to crash it already. :P

What are the requirements for this?

Should be either GUS, SB or AdLib. The interesting thing about the games / demos that used CDFM was that they had separate versions for these three cards, i.e. sample-based, samples + FM or just FM.
See the 'release details' link above for some more background and info about how best to run the tracker and other programs.

@jmph: It is unfinished, so I think the trick is really to find a way to use it without it crashing ;-)
From your release details page:
Quote:
f you are missing FM instruments, try quitting the player (Alt + X) and rerunning it

A more "stable" approach would be to set the DOSBox cycles to about 10,000 - the same workaround as for Zone 66 itself.
Does it propose some possibilities that Scream Tracker 3 doesn't?

Manwe: It doesn't, it's more limited (no effects apart from volume, only four sample channels with fixed panning). The only thing that it does which S3M doesn't do is some sort of automatic channel phasing (OPL channels are slightly detuned against each other, which is used to create phasing instruments in various tracks). OpenMPT 1.28 has support for C67 files and emulates this phasing effect.
