First intro with realtime music synthesis. Like Ich Kann Euch Sehen, very ahead of its time - so much so, it ran about 2fps on my PC at the time (see DemoNews review :).

they said "reanimation der demoscene" and they did. this one knocked me off. it's sound is unbelievable :)
Oh, and by the way, the intro is 24kb. KB has always been, and will always be, a fucking genius. :)
Surprising that so less people leaved their comment here. Is this intro *that* unknown? In this case you should really check it!
Any chance to get this to work without a gus? Doesn't work with Gusemu it seems... :(
i still remember standing in front of the mixer at ms when this intro was shown. a very bad try of mine to keep the level in a nice range ;)
oh i almost forgot to thumb up that really excellent prod :)
hey kb, Win version? :)
cool. I realize now that I've never seen it. 8]
yeah, win version maybe?..
yeah, win version maybe?..
yeah, or at least link it with midas or something so us sb losers can here it :)
I have never ever ever ever seen it too, because of the NoGus NoDemo attitude or something :(
Indeed a super intro. Luckily I managed to get some pictures from it (thank heavens for VideoThief), so if you want to see pictures from the entire intro, take a peek here (4.7MB of lossless PNG extravaganza, only availiable when I'm online—sorry).
About the intro: apart from a few color choices I don't entirely agree with, this intro is magnificent. Has great "echtzeit tonberechnung" and nice effects—all in 24KB.... incredible.

wicked one. i still remember that 64k compo. we were pretty blown away by it. hopefully kb baby gets his winport done some day :)
just a vote
a cute one

i don't have a gus. i never had a gus, so the whole intro never worked for me on my home-machine. but i've seen it at the ms97, i remember i was blown away. this was new to the german scene back then.
anyway. what's up with räd-äd and purge these days.

Yeah! I have seen 2 screenshots of the demo for the first time! Oneday, I will be able to watch it in action :P
kabeee, mach das mal für windows, ich wills auch sehn :)
in case you didn't get it, no, kb doesn't have the source.
anyway, he's currently working on a good disassembly so he can still port it :)

oh what a great intro. hoodo/purge actually has released the starfield effect that you can see on the screenshots in a windows version (assembler sourcecode!), still very cool from todays point of view. seems he took it off his homepage, look out for prg-prtc.zip
(i'm also wondering what happened to tomsk7, a purge software synth. they were beta testing the thing at one point, did they release it?)

come on, do a win port !
the embryo-part is missing in the screenshot btw.
A great synth and nice effects.
damn, do i remember standing in the heidehalle attending mekka/symposium 1997, shivering when the räd-äd's soft-303 kicked in through the parties' pa... wow, thumbs up!
this one was waaaaaaaay before its time ... ludicrously impressive. I remember when I first watched this having a sense that I was seeing something truely futuristic. nice music too, if i recall correctly! A divx version of this would be nice!
Is the track from this available anywhere?
Nice synth - but the graphic mode setup is incompatible as hell. I could not even get it to work using UniVBE...
the galaxy scene is nice the rest is rather boring and ugly-ish but this prod is a milestone. Thumb up.
When we watched it on the bigscreen it was quite impressive - maybe because of the beamer nobody really knew what he was watching but it looked great. Thumb up!
i remember when i was watching it live in fallingbostel. made my jaw drop.
overrated
underrated
I liked it back 1997 and it is still nice to watch it (music is great too).
Räd-äd: Winport? :)
I guess I would have been much more impressed in 1997, but nowadays the overall fuglyness is what stands out the most. :)
Das ist so ranzig daß es heute noch regelt
Excellent
It's okay.
WOOOOOW nice particles! Seems that the demo is a bit slow? Music is just horrible...
cool on the visual side but the sound is bad..
okay-ish...
Great sound.
back in teh days <3
FOETUS
what branch said..
hammer!
What tomaes said, but as it's so small - fuck it - up goes the thumb.
nice
Not exactly Stash :)
Nice trip ;)
The so called "music" sucks! And the intro isn't particularly interesting, there are a few nice effects though.
All the people moaning about the music..
The music RULEZ!!
Seems like some people don't get the technical aspects straight.

for the nfo
and well, the technical achievement of procedural sound sythesis.

Fake finnish and kebby sound programming
After good beginning, second half fell down with its textures and music.
das gutt
A classic for me. I also attended that party and was very impressed by this intro on the big screen - with the only chance to rewatch it by running it on real hardware - before we had Youtube. ;)
It inspired me to begin my own sound synthesis experiments back then.
