Tried to run it on Mac but all I get is a blank window and a long list of GL Error 1282 messages. I commented out the "assert(false)" line to see if maybe it ws just the shaders in the first part but no dice unfortunately. Music sounds awesome, though. (I'm using libglfw.3.1 if that helps)

Sorry about that, MacOS tweaks were made after the party. This version works on OS X 10.9.5:

Can't run it here (GL Version 4.10 required) :/ Soundtrack is AWESOME! Idea and realization are cute ♥ Sometimes a little empty, still thumbworthy

Yes, that runs (well, I had to run it with luajit, the shell script didn't work for some odd reason). Thanks for posting a released version so quickly. So... I could read that message, how can I go about buying you that beer? ;-)

Still doesn't seem to work on OSX 10.8.4 unfortunately.

Using your included luajit I get:
Code:quaoar:jimbo00000-jellyfish-the-jam-fe691b42fa6a $ ./run_the_demo.sh dyld: lazy symbol binding failed: Symbol not found: _lua_cpcall Referenced from: /Users/hjus114/Downloads/jimbo00000-jellyfish-the-jam-fe691b42fa6a/standalone/./luajit-osx Expected in: /usr/local/lib/liblua.dylib dyld: Symbol not found: _lua_cpcall Referenced from: /Users/hjus114/Downloads/jimbo00000-jellyfish-the-jam-fe691b42fa6a/standalone/./luajit-osx Expected in: /usr/local/lib/liblua.dylib ./run_the_demo.sh: line 6: 20457 Trace/BPT trap: 5 ./luajit-osx jellyfish_demo.lua compo

Using my luajit (installed from Homebrew) it sets the screen mode and then segfaults.

May just be my machine config though.

jmph - It looks like the bundled luajit-osx (version 2.0.3) is finding the liblua.dylib in your /usr/local/lib/ (probably installed by Homebrew) when it should be using the one included with the demo. You might be able to convince it otherwise by changing your $PATH temporarily, or renaming /usr/local/lib/liblua.dylib. Uninstalling homebrew's luajit also might work, but there has to be a cleaner way than these. I think luajit has a path of its own that can be set, but I'm not sure where.

I would recommend asking in freenode's #luajit. They were very helpful in getting this demo to work in the first place. Also, CapsAdmin hangs out there so you can give him compliments on the excellent music :)
Very enjoyable! I like the individual names.

jimbo00000: if you read this --- any particular license on the source? I couldn't find any license statements except for 3rd-party modules. Thanks!
