As I'm not a Falcon person, I cannot really say I'm entitled to pass judgement...but I've never seen single effects get stretched over so much time before. (Not counting Chimera, but that's not much of a defense).

The music isn't brilliant either.

i read much hype about this demo... so i downloaded and wtf?! the demo crashed on my 040-falcon.. so i had to bring out the slow original falc...

and now then? music is terrible.. second part even not music, only distorted noise... graphics are missing... in fact no graphics except a st-looking logo at the beginning, textures mostly looks crap too.. no backgrounds no nothing... sorry guys, a fast tridirout alone is no demo.

matrix: if you would care to take a look at the readme.txt. i stated a dozen of times that it wouldn't run on a 040.
for the rest i say nothing, it's a matter of taste...

Hey, it might be sparse on graphics and there might be different opinions on music choice, but it's definitly a thumbs up for earx huge work, well done man!

The second part is ACE STUFF!!! Please, demomakers, do more stuff like that!!! To Matrix: Who says a demo should contain music?!?

Nice done! And very nice to release the sourcecode along the binary. Keep up the good work!

One of the most remarkable Falcon-demos ever - Technically brilliant in any way, and each of the 3 parts is individually consequent in design, music and graphics.

You have to get used to style - but no doubt it shows in an amazing way what a Falcon030 can do with 16Mhz...

wow! after _ /escape demo I couldn't belive that my jaw will hang to the floor again so quickly! Effects are great, 3D scene massive and there is bunch of new and quite inovative effects. C part is pure joy: awesome music by frequent (right?) with nice ambient graphics effects!

Excellent on the technical side and i really love the galaxy part - "only" the music was a big disappointment...

ok, the first part is the worst part, but the rest is stunning!

this was my absolute favourite falcon demo before beams

An epic in (almost) every sense of the word. Could have used a bit more input on the graphics and some rough edges smoothed out a bit.

Nice demo. The only thing that it misses are some background patterns to the 3d effects...

I read log.txt only now and I can only advise you all to read it by your self :) (you can find it in deltasrc.zip in original archive)

@earx great reading! ;)

when you think it cannot get better ther comes just a new falcon milestone.. each part could have been a great demo itself.. but it works like a really good trip altogether as well.. seconding lotek

I don't know but for me this is the perfect example of a demo that is at least 4 times as long as it should have been. The first part is utterly boring, each effect shown for half an eternity, music in that part is not very good either. 2nd part is a bit more interesting but still lacks action, same for part 3. The whole demo totally lacks graphics as well, it is just an effect show on black backgrounds. There is a lot of work here, no doubt, but as a demo it just doesn't work for me, sorry.

Wow, this is such a huge demo!!! I enjoyed Part A and C because they ran faster on Hatari, while Part B with several 3d was slow (but on Hatari, not on real thing) and yet it went soooooo long that I wondered, is it the biggest demo ever? So many parts, several cool ones, awesome. I am just downloading the video now so that I can watch it properly.

Brilliant code, but lacks good music and design... as a demo it doesn't really cut it! Nevertheless, there's no doubt it deserves a thumb up or two!
rulez added on the 2014-06-16 21:48:33 by Daniel Daniel
nice
Just saw this for the first time :)

Part A: Dutch Colours and Gabber sounding music
Part B: More Speed and Gabber and a Cube flying trough Squares and other colour effects that could be a screensaver and a round tunnel and spinning circles
also Cogwheels feels very EBM / Gabber tune was a bit too much Gabber for me, but nice effects and execpted end
Part C: Nice relaxing part with Seastars and Lightsources and Sea Shells and something that looks like Green Water and Some Plasma Balls and 3D-Objects

Packed with content
nice one
