This small demo was originally posted on atari-forum.com to show the use of some advanced synchronisation with the shifter, allowing to do hardscroll with 4 raster lines of cpu.

It only features a vertical scrolling, so it's more interesting code-wise than design-wise.

Although Steem or Saint may not run it, it will work with Hatari 1.3

Nice work from Paulo who pushed the ST limits.
I contacted him in 2007 and he said he was retired!
Pff. Atarians.

The fastest syncscroller ever on the ST, 3 scanlines + syncline ! Are there any sources available?

No source available as far as I know but by reading http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=9527 coders shold be able to understand how it works (the main part is to be able to create a 0 byte line in 50 Hz, which requires a 2 cycles precision and depends on the "wake up" state of the ST).
Also, I think the .blk file contains all lines length for the 256 possible combinations.
tried it with hatari 1.2 (did not find 1.3) does not compute.

I had fun testing this back when it was made! It was nice to see that a SUCH A sync scroll could be made to work also correctly on STE.

Extra effect works in Hatari in STe mode!

Demo runs the only from floppy disc A: - from HDD doesn't load image - demo stops and the info screen.
