we laughed a lot at the party place. thanks for the funniest moment of 7DX 2010. :)
obviously a lot of effort has gone into this. But more importantly, some of the real world solutions were pretty smart and funny themselves. Like the tennis ball with pins, artillery made of matches, sponge, the spiral wire and the table cloth :)
never set the standards, but this is also not bad..
my favorite scenes are eyes at the initial and sine dot ropes :)

Fun idea and some amusing parts, but all in all way too half-assed execution. What "real life" is there about those computer-generated animations and graphics in every second "effect"?

It's really so fun to watch this! table cloth is perfect! very good effort.
First of all, this video has its moments, definitely! I had to smile a few times, especially at the "real life" effect footage. And that leads me to my main criticism. If you do it real life, then do it completely that way. Figure out how and don't rely on cg at the first sign of an obstacle. Those simple cg effects ruin the atmosphere, because they look like a really bad copy of the original. Go ahead, do the next one, but fully non-cg please! And, please don't make such rough cuts to the music, i bet you can do better there, too.
I can imagine on a party in a drunk mood this was surely fun! I see no point in analysing and criticizing a wild fun party video with serious intentions, those guys who do are typically party poops.

Having planed a real life Desert Dream remake at one point as well, this one severly fucks up the pace and direction, which is one of the most important parts when redoing classic (lowend) demos, also the beyond horrible CG parts, along the skips in the music make this a torture to watch.
The redone vector spaceship out of paper was pretty cool tho.
