Pretty neat but the navigation is pretty difficult and it makes it hard to change parameters quick on the fly.

yeah, horrible controls! nevertheless a really cool concept. defjam, as entering notes and setting frequency is the most important, maybe make those features easier to access (i.e. dedicated buttons) - maybe only go to other settings when some other button is held at the same time.

also, i'm not sure if my settings were just bad, but the hihat samples were horribly low-fi. better get some better ones, or pick a higher frequency on the whole thing if that's the thing. we don't need resonant filters for all channels, so you might be able to optimise a lot on that one.

I heard this in action at Outline 2009 and I like it a lot even before trying it myself! ;)

Could somebody provide a working download link for v1.1a, please?
added on the 2010-06-23 13:52:59 by raer raer

http://checkpoint.atari.org/files/ReBoy_v1.1a.zip

you might get an "attacking website alert" - just ignore that since you only download the zip file...

Heh, I saw Defjam do some really cool shit with this tool in the sunshine at Outline 2009. Seems to be quite capable :).
