To be fair, there's potential for a cool title/credits/greets effect here, but it just isn't enough to stand alone.
i get that you want to build noise demos with different content. how about actually having some content??
macaw: the soundtrack, direction and artwork was actually made at the partyplace.. didnt have much time for content. just focused on making the effect progress nicely with the track to set an involving mood. but i guess it didnt work out very nicely in the end this time. im not very pleased with it to tell you the truth, but a few folks told me they liked it though. and i might be biased for being sick of it after watching it 5248783 times in a row finetuning it. but yes, next time: more cubes and tunnels, less particles. for sure.

Nice concept, but doesn't I don't think it works with such low res. Either that or it's the video compression.
just watched live footage and liked it , especially the soundtrack, which is great!
would want to see this again on that huge screen. i want rerun of this years entries at main next year. :)

Just watched the live footage, my main criticism is that it was 2 mins and 54 seconds too long.
White noise (even if it's described in a poncey and pretentious way) is not art, it's white noise.
There is a use for this kind of "demo" though, it has been wisely practiced around the world, especially in the middle east.

shockwave: so if it was 5 seconds long, you would have liked it? white noise is by definition is random, not progressive in any way, this track is not. in prisons of guantanamo they use europe "the final countdown" and britney spears. guess no one should play videos of those anywhere either. its just an ambient noise demo, you werent even at the partyplace, nor forced to experience it. just like it or dont. whats with the hatred?

I don't feel any hatred.
I just don't like this production, I'd rather see the noise used in a more creative way than just having some words appear.
MFX and ASD for example have used noise-like techniques in several demos which I have rather liked, this is why I continue to watch noise demos in the hope that I'll see something great once in a while.

I like it, very nice music and the visuals fit well too. In the long run it is a bit boring though thus piggie. Definitely not bad though!
I think the big problem with the live experience was the soundtrack : it is hard (at least for me) to get in the mood of this kind of prod without an headphone, or a quiet environment.
So the whole thing is quite good but the visuals should have been richer.

Where's the osx version then? I see .exe, .dll, and a bunch of .jar (tried the winterbreathe.jar, won't run). Did somebody forget to put it in the zip, or am I doing it wrong?
