The idea with combining movie files and demo code is actually pretty nice, too bad this one looked like crap. After about 1 minute it decided to kill itself and froze, leaving me no other choice than to restart my computer ( oh my god, I sound like DiamonDie!)...

i haven't seen any crashes on the machines i tested it on - but as the NFO says, you'll need divx 5.02 or better.
and about the "slow" comment, the only part which is slow is the divx-replaying, in the end of the "demo" the divx is being replayed at 4x speed which means that the divx-dll-player will have to do shitload of divx-decoding => slow demo.

"hm er den allerede færdig?".. men jeg tænkte galt. og den forsatte med det samme 2 minutter mere. men så da den endelig var færdig, så ja. følte jeg mig snydt og ville så sige at hvis man har en meget hurtig netforbindelse og man ikke og lidt for meget tid, er det her måske en demo man kan overveje at se. ellers skal man jo nok ikke se den. fordi den er ret kedelig. og det samme kunne have blevet sagt på 30 sekunder. eller faktisk dækker bare screenshotet hele demoen. men altså hvis du har tid og lyst så se den, ellers lader du bare være. men jeg synes ikke den er så god.

Well, the idea of putting effects over video is not new. This seems interesting at first, it ends up being an abstract animation that you can see at a club. The idea of using divx is rather bad, a different codec would probably increase filesize but replay would be alot better. Mind you, the video is only 700kb, the music is the biggest thing in this demo. Speaking of music, the score is nothing to write home about and could have easily been made a module. This way, a 12mb mp3 could have been avoided. Finally, it seems that the demo does not quit at the end.
Seems very rushed...
The idea of using video with effects is cool in my book, but this example is lousy. The choice of footage is not very interesting, the effects are not very interesting, and the music is not very interesting. Overall, not very interesting.
