ok, read the full scroller, i guess they don't like this guy called pan so much :)
ok, don't patch it and watch it in hash, it bugs like hell mmkay ^_^
If only the link worked, couldn't find it in Ojuice or scene.org...
rules, the main scroller is most amazing.
now i only need to find out how to get to the hidden part...

great production!... especially the hidden part ;)
just that so called "square-wave-scroller" is a bit strange.

You guys seems to miss the fact that Pan's part displays a lot of trash on the screen. That's because he's doing the whole thing wrong. Anyone can write to the Y-reg during screen-display. The trick is to do it right without glitches, and it is this that has never been done before.
Btw.. you can get the demo at
http://www.lcp.c64.org

as we can see - some STILL care! respect!
nice oldschool style, tasty colours. can't really judge the effects as im not a coder nor very much into gbc, but seems to be cool :)
Btw.. I hope you guys check this on a real gbc since there is no emu that shows this demo correctly.
yes, this is THE gbc demo. well done mega boys!
damn.. why did i let my friend borrow my gbc-flasher? now i have to wait until i can see this demo :\
what about a divx-version then? :)
jikes! this was niice :)
Very nice demo.
vertical splits are cool
Finally i have seen this little gem, my thumbs up.
rockz on real hardware
ran it on an emu called bgb, didn't detect any problems except for some buggy x movement in the 'more more' scroller... nice product btw...
daison: bgb (atleast version 0.87) emulates it wrong like HELL!
Someone should make an mpeg of this and show the world.
This demo can now be run on the KiGB Emulator. Download here: AEP Emulation Page!
The GB demo to end all GB demos.
The best gameboy color demo there is.
Oh My Fucking God! Last gbc demo from you (?), sooooo sad :(
yeah!
Wow, this rocks! The megascroller is awesome and the checkerboard almost as impressive. It's a bit hard to believe such effects can run on a GBC :)
<3
Yay!
ok
Video please :(
Wow! That tunnel at the end is great (just as the rest of the demo)!
I STILL WANT A VIDEO ;)
I STILL WANT A VIDEO ;)
How could I have ever missed this one?!?!
Slayer of all GBC demos, and challenged only by Mental Respirator, this masterpiece should have a new place in our computer history books!!
(and as I am typing this I keep getting compulsions to stop dead at learning GBA ASM and do GBC instead.... 0_o )

As far as I can see kigb emulates this correctly. I'll flash it when I get home to verify.
O_o--b
this one is cool, just watched it last weekend again on my cgb
Very, very, VERY fucking awesome! :|
VBA doesn't pass the emulator detection, watched this on KGiB... best demo on GB/GBC I've seen so far!
Finally I can watch this one. It has two very impressive hardware scrolling parts and maybe few more stuff but not the best gameboy demo for me.
white and pink colored screen and logotype

SoLo2: did you ever take a little time in reading why the hell you couldn't be able to watch the actual demo?
Bah, I know it's like trying to discuss with a wall...

well, send gameboy colors to hardy@trsi.de ,tnx !
Gambatte passes the hardware detection
Good one! <3 the music in end part.
awesome gbc demo :D
Public service announcement: Use BGB.
Runs fine here on BGB but does not make an ideal breakfast demo
Thumbs down for stupid hardware check and for overall pure design.
Working under BGB version 1.4.3 .
Nice efx, some nice tunes, wnd one already annoying and overused c64's commando main-theme. But well, I have been listening to that more to often...
Also second dex46...

Yeah, people really like overrated things, this is typical crowd behavior. Sad to see something like this in the modern world...
Scroller takes forever and unnecessary emulator detection.
last scene looks great. the rest is very meh. so piggie.
@dex46...
Yup, there is something in what you say....
The demo itself is nice, altho some parts could have been really shorter..

The effects are impressive and I like the music, but it is just too repetitive... Come on, 6 minutes of scroller? And why does the text of the second effect do that strange movement? It's difficult to read. Also: emulator detection.
This demo could have been the best of GBC demos, but they abused of the SCY change effect.

.nice one
nice
Excellent tech, nothing to say there. Arguably "eh" pacing, but that's okay. Massive upvote if only for the legacy that this brought to GBDev!
Also, Prehistorik Man did it first, on the DMG no less :D

Nice chessboard, scroller and commando music
Nice demo although I quit it first time before the end thinking it was just an endless scroller. Only on seeing the screenshots in Pouet I realized there were other effects!

if this prod is a fake, some info is false or the download link is broken,
do not post about it in the comments, it will get lost.
instead, click here !
there is some code that detects emulators in this one so can't run it unless you hack it or something.
it claims to be world first with vertical rastersplits, but i guess the megaboys didn't know about the demo vertmess by pan/anthrox released in january 1999. but this kicks the shit out of that anyway, so who cares. and actually hash emulator has some support for this (but only for modyfying SCY, modifying SCX gives you crap on real hardware anyway (unless some cool dude found a way to o it :)...)
watch it if you have a gbc NOW!!!
