I'm wondering what 3D Mark 2005 is doing here...
No offense but I'd prefer a compilation of all those old DOS demos that are sometimes tricky to run instead of those current demos that run perfectly on nowadays computers...

I disagree with keops, the more HQ videos the better!
(Still no Kasparov though :-()

Don't get me wrong Bartman, it's nice of you to make those videos with kkapture, only, one or two volumes about ancient DOS oldies would be fine ;)
what ps said
good work!
I only make DVDs with demos where i can use "kkapture", unless there is such a feature for dosbox etc. I won't do it. But hey, I don't have to do all the work, do I? Why doesn't someone else volunteer for a change? :)
Why 3dmark? it looks like a demo, it's made by demo-people, and it's awesome! :) probably a matter of personal choice...

Excellent
cool for 3dmark '05 'cause I can't see it for now!
hmmm, I hope one day see 3dmark '06 ;)
and also "Genocy/Gmf" : I tried to rip it with kkapture but doesn't seem to work (crash at the end)

keep it up!
nice stuff! even if i agree with keops that it'd be damn cool to have harder-to-watch demos on a dvd, i don't think it makes a thing like this obsolete at all. the DVDs are well made and the quality is top notch, and it's very handy to just have a few DVDs around with demos on them that you can show to people anywhere, anytime, anyhow. good going.
thanks, and keep up the great work!
@bartman: actually DOSBox can capture video via a lossless codec ;)
I liked vol. 4, so will I with vol. 5.

NICE, thanks bartman, it's very handy to have some nice demo's on dvd.
Maybee it's a good plan to create a DOS demo dvd. It would be cool!! Tanks man!!

thanks for this...maybe an intro special ed some time?
TBL-Starstruck should be included - anyway nice work.
Thumps up!
Laying back on the couch watching demos
on my 16:9 tv
very relaxing ;)

nice, but i'm pretty sure you could stuff ten more titles into each volume without noticing much difference in quality - especially on tv.
simply rulez
*offtopic*
True, but it's useless if the demo doesn't run correctly in dosbox. Another problem is that dosbox will start a new avi after each mode switch, which is very common in dos demos.

And where is StarStruck ? ;-)

Great compilation!
I would have dropped 3DMark for another "real" demo...
And people, you can get some DOS-demos captured to video at: [url=http://wurstcaptures.untergrund.net/]http://wurstcaptures.untergrund.net/[url]

right, thanks ;-)
top notch quality - but still, would it be really that hard to send us an email if you wish to include it? :D
for dos demos, i recommend mindcandy vol 1. unfortunatly that does not cover intros ... wait for vol. 3 or something.
"demo or die" dvd's are great. i just fear that a lot of work is waiting for bartman when he get's a hd-tv set...

one annoying thing about this (and the other DoD's) the text on the back of the DVD cover is the wrong way. :p But don't fix it, I dont want to print them all again. :p
Other than that:
Other than that:
For the people that complains about 3dMark05 being there. Stop complaining and do a better compilation with the prods that you guys want to have. It kind of reminds me when I did Pilgrimage invitation and the people were complaining that the selection of the demos wasn't right.
And if you want a DVD with DOS demos, before asking to someone else to do it, please, do it yourself.

roger! we'll get right on it, sir trace!
That's EXACTLY the point Maali.
@rarefluid : could you please made a dosbox capture of Genocyd/Gmf, 'cause kkapture crash at the end with the win32 update

Usually I'd just be a bastard and thumb down compilations like this, but unfortunately I can't.. :(
Slick presentation and a good mix of stuff I'd like to be able to watch even if my computers are from yesteryear...

nice.
excellent for parties!
Excellent work!
hello, when we get next episode?? I am looking for it ;)
i'm eagerly but patient awaiting the next episode :-)
Downloaded 6 hours, burned, rocked in my living room.
VOL 6 PLS! 2007 was a very good demo year that needs to be honored.

"aga ? just say no !" ... :) superb demo, great coding, really good design for its time. the music itself is not great but not annoying and you can clearly see that a lot of effort has gone into making it sync. to the demo.
haven't seen this one for ten years or so but it's surely been enjoyable once again !
