I didn't like it, all that wireframe nuskool stuff has been seen so many times and doesn't even look that nifty.
I've always loved noice stuff. I wasn't digging the humanoid walking on the levitating crazy paving part, but the rest was sweet as. N(o)ice!
not bad... but considering how much more (and more interesting) stuff other groups have managed to cram into 64k, i don't thumb it up.
i find this intresting...

Nice and clean, the music is good, but it runs rather slow. Also, it could be a little longer.
It is software... and got some nice fxs... I like the music. good stuff..

raymon, this was acctually made long time before those intros, AND this cartoon shader takes care about the z-correction alot better imo.
razor1911's is just textures if i dont remember correctly tho very hires, but it really doesnt look as cool as this.
and art is basically the same idea as this but not as good done..

Noicetalgic! One of the best intros if you ask me, it doesn't work that well on my laptop due to a pretty cpu-consuming softsynth but i guess that that is more my fault. ;) Anyway, nice work.
oh.. one of the best intros at asm i mean. ;)
Yeah, well, the softsynth ate like 6-7% on my computer. I don't know how much the others eat.

well, the synth takes about 6-7% on a quite high-end machine, like 1600Mhz or something, the intro was actually coded on PII400 and contains quite alot of asm optimized stuff.. but who cares ?

who cares if you coded this 10 years ago and just released it yesterday? if someone released something similiar in the meantime that means you've been beaten to it!

just like art it fails to do anything interesting with an interesting rendering technique. and the soundtrack is almost as shite as art's one.
macaw: yes, but it doesnt mean you ripped the idea, or ? If you think that, how could we still be releasing demos in 2002 at all... and I dont think that art-fr+scx and this is _that_ alike, havent even seen the razor thingy...
nothing special, the colorized effect looked good though. the paper rendering is drying out.
who cares if it looks alike that "art" crap by fr&scx, this is actually very good compared to that (and i usually don't give noice creds :).

Noice definitely has a nice understated 'feeling' with most (all?) off their productions. I liked this one, as I do with many Noice demos. They're quite consistent.
The inital download of the ASM ftp servers was (what appeared to be) a test version that had some really bad sound artifacts, so I was a little confused about it at first (it looked better on asmtv somehow).
Watched it again, and I still think it's one of the better asm entries. Solid, sober design with some cute rendering techniques. Not even a billion polys can match the sheer beauty of the shadow casting scene :)

I had forgotten about this. A nice demo, though not the best noice one... and true, the torus intersection is nice.

Some pretty neat effects (csg) and cool music makes this a pretty enjoyable intro. Sw also a big plus.
Wow! The line vectors are fabulous and have a sketchy shaking that looks stylish and just right! The cube inside the torus effects rules! The demo is so smooth and the text zooms have no pixel artifacts (filtering?) that I would be mistaken it was hardware rendering.
