Hidden in the vis preset names are greetings to ACiD, Andromeda (software development), CNS, Trixter, all the Northern Dragons who helped make and test this (and some who didn't, heh), and the FR gba coders, for the upcuber name. Yes, I know they're not cubes. Thanks to Willbe for making the demovibes mixes that make these look the best.

So to clarify: this is an installer for a bunch of 3d visualizations for windows media player - not technically a demopack or a music disk, sort of both. These were first shown at the BlockParty 2007 party to Trixter, Blackpawn, S_Tec, and a few others.

Angry flames about visualizations not belonging on pouet can start .......... now!

bubbles, ribbons and gigertron won't load properly and just change the current viz's settings ... the others look nice tho', I'd like an fixed update :)
angry flame: this does not belong on pouet, i dont want to use media player because im a cool anti-windowsbrat(even though i use winXP), credits are b000ring(hah l00k 4t m3,1m wr1t1ng w1th numb3rs) and Michael Jackson is trüe. I mean, this was great.

vis plugins are definitively linked to demo spirit and should be a Pouet category, specially if coming from a demogroup :p

Weyland, do you have a video card with ps 2.0 support? All the blur and color sloshing is done in GPU, so that the CPU load would be minimal.

Guybrush, radeon 9700 full PS2, it doesn't initialise some effects for some reason, just changes the running one's parameters ...
phoenix: or not :)

thanks for the nod, but i kinda found most of the visualizers fairly bland :/

yeah, some of them are just the same code as the vista screensavers with the same name. hypnobloom and distortion are -my- faves. Ver 2 will be mindblowing, I promise :D

I like how you've released a visualization here, but I don't find the visualizations themselves particularly interesting. The Bubbles one is quite nice on songs with a lot of BASS, and the Up Cuber looks very nice, but the rest is somewhat forgettable.

Oh by the way, Bubbles was seriously fucked up when I fed it some gabber. Apparently the bubbles couldn't keep up with the song so they were jumping through the screen 20 times a second or so :D

Oh and "Up Cuber" is almost identical to UnConeD's "Goldie" Winamp AVS Visualization Preset...

stijn: Yep! UnConeD's thing was the starting point for that one. Good eye. ^_^ Next time, I'll figure out how to make metal materials respond meaningfully to frequency intensity and I'll rip it off in a more pure fashion.
