hummm 8)
If this is, why is not STe demos use it?
DJ Fistfuck: please tell me how can you know whether people used it or not to produce mods in their Atari demos?
Poor replay quality, the Protracker from Wizzcat/Delta force (complete different program) has alot better quality and is the 'Protracker' most people know on Atari.
Still this one is fine as well, but really crippled by the replay (12.5kHz if I remember correct). The main selling point for this one over Wizzcats is probably that it's more similar to the Amiga Protracker GUI-wise.

Interesting. Not a single Atari STE demo ever featured a module then? You seem to have a very good knowledge of Atari scene...
+ as far as I remember, in early 1992 people were glad to have at last a protracker compatible editor on Atari and replay routines for STE, Falcon & TT.
Moreover, at that time Wizzcat's Protracker v2.1 hadn't been released yet, it was released one year later and likely became the most used protracker on Atari.
but still, you are probably right, nobody ever used a module on Atari STE or Falcon, only YM soundchips, sure...

Keops, the STE was released around 1989, why wasn't there a working tracker until 1992? Why 12,5 KHz replay? Why did XiA cancel his demo due to replay routines? Why are there so many YM-rocking STe prods?
because much more people owned an Atari ST and never bothered buying an STE? Because consequently there have been 10 times more demos on ST? Because the STE capabilities were not that good compared to what people had expected afterall? Because Amiga had much better capabilities?
XiA doesnt equal "people/atari scene in general".
Again, it doesnt mean there hasnt been any modules on STE, there were just very few STE machines/coders compared to ST(f).
Finally, I dont even get why you are bitching about this prod. If it was so bad for you, why didnt you code your own STE/Falcon/TT replay routines & protracker editor?
Equinox provided them to help people when there was almost nothing available at that time on STE/Falcon/TT.
Nobody claimed they were perfect.

See the second comment. ;-)
I was really wondering why tracker replay routines are such an infected mess on Atari, when I've never heard of such things on Amiga.
