checked out some articles already and this seem to be a great issue!

Great issue, many articles there.

It was a bit strange though that (in the amiga emulator at least), going to each next page of an article loaded from HD and it was slow..

I've not read it yet, but that transvestite title pic is disturbing. I don't want to think where you got the reference material from.
can anyone add this as ADF format?
added on the 2007-04-26 18:35:21 by darkus darkus
ahem thats retarded darkus.

nice content. looks like i will have lots of stuff to read tonight
rulez added on the 2007-04-26 18:50:26 by xeNusion xeNusion
Darkus has a point. I can't be bothered messing around with virtual hard drives etc but if you can just boot an ADF it's no trouble and easy to load.

if youre to stupid to make a click to define a simple folder as a harddisk youre not worth to read this diskmag anyway.
go away and play with your nintendoDS

waiting for the windows port!!!!!!!!!1111111
nice edition. a few well worth reading articles in there.

and i'll be waiting for a solution on how to prevent the world from wanting to write their mind about any production added to pouet. ;)

If you're stupid enough to think that you can set up a working Amiga hard disk with all the necessary libs and stuff in a single click, you're best staying on the Amiga.
oh noes! they be stealin my workbench!!

Fuck off shane. People making Amiga prods shouldn't have to do retarded things like make ADFs just so people without Amigas can see them.

Anyway... thumb for the mag.

I agree, they shouldn't have to and I'm not digging at Nukleus. But if they want more people to see their hard work, the ADF is an option.
Yeah, makes sense for productions that were totally NOT made to be run from disk... If you want to see it, create a virtual HD for your emulated Amiga. If you don't want to spend these few minutes, you are not interested anyway, dear ShaneTheWad..ErrmTurtle. :D

About the mag, many articles, a lot of stuff to read. Will keep me busy for a while, thanks for that Browallia. :) What I read so far was entertaining and interesting, and concerning your TUM report Brow, actually I was more impressed that you could work with such small monitor than I was impressed by your knowledge of the ASM-Pro shortcuts. :D Hope to see you soon in Berlin again, there are still a lot of clubs here you need to see. :)

Some demo-sized "adf"-format with roms and complete uae configs bundled so that you could run an amiga demo by just double clicking it in windows would be nice. With c64 stuff it is that easy!

I've only read the interviews this far and those were great :) Looking forward to reading the rest.

xenusion: you really are warped at the best of times, if the fact I asked for an ADF version pisses you off - I pity you.. (really!)

Anyway don`t want this to turn into a slut fest and ruin the comments made here.

I put my money on Darkus to win this debate! :)

nice issue! And to do this on amiga.. respect!

Good issue. Still horrible interface and design. Hope we can do something about this in our collaboration. Many one-page articles that add to the 100+ as well as the lack of a BP article dissapointed me (plus some strange quotations). Still, Browallia offensive style is a big motivation for me. I'm so looking forward to reviewing this big pile of bullshit in the upcoming JP! ;)

selectanovel: nothing like diskmag reviews of other diskmags...
thanks for all comments so far.

ps: :)

darkus: I dont care about good statics here, my favorite section is snakefighting so keep it up :)

looking forward for the coop issue with jp, which will be released in august. article submit for that to cns team/jp team NOW!

Slummy: What do you mean? There is nothing like diskmag reviews for other diskmags or nobody likes diskmag reviews of other diskmags?
added on the 2007-04-27 14:47:57 by novel novel
Well I actually did try this in Winuae with virtual hard disks installed and it would still not run. So I decided not to bother.

The guys who want an ADF have a valid point.
added on the 2007-04-27 18:57:50 by Flunce Flunce
Or better than an ADF, how about an online version?
added on the 2007-04-27 18:58:52 by Flunce Flunce

unpack the file with winrar and mount the directory as harddisk.
select a worbench disk as bootdevice...
start it

and if you open those folder/harddisk
go to options on top and select show invisible/all
coz the directory doesnt has a icon.

easy as hell...

Mr Guts (or whatever name you prefer :P), did you run setpatch before?
added on the 2007-04-27 19:20:02 by StingRay StingRay
Thanks guys but when I run the cns7 file it does nothing. I tried from CLI and workbench and same result.

Mr. Guts. You need to make sure you are in AGA mode. If you are using WinUAE you can press F12 and then go to the chipset section and click AGA. Then hit the reset button to quickly reset into AGA mode. Then CnS will run like a charm! :)

Allways nice to see prods on Amiga. But that dont mean its automatic a Thumps UP.
Awfull gfx, awfull GUI. And isnt there supposed to be music? Cant get any sound. (Running on WinUAE, clean boot with setpatch)

I guess I'll give it a Piggy, since it seems the articles are OK, and the music thing is probably just me being useless.
added on the 2007-04-28 14:31:24 by tFt tFt
Nice, works fine on orig Hardware, nice tunes :) the gfx are abit messy and look like drawn in truecolor and converted to 8 colors.

Not the prettiest of discmags, but it has the advantage that the mags sticks out from the rest. The important thing with a mag is not the looks but the quality of the articles and I think CnS is well above avarage in that respect. Good work Nukleus, nice to see that Balder was responsible for the gallery code, hopefully this means that we will see him back to coding demos soon.

Articlewise very good, would with no doubt kick all recent pc mags from their throne for sure. Reminds me of an old discussion if it's still worth to invest so much time and energy into a project, that probably 40 people will read. If ever. Maybe you have 200 downloaders but most ppl only seek for their own group or name, browse a bit in the index in order if there are some interesting topics and then quit. All the horrible work for probably two hands full of readers that actually do care. Is it still worth it? I highly doubt that if I am honest.

In contrary to most other readers here I do actually like the graphics of this issue. Not what I would expect from a diskmag in the year 2007, but Browallia is very much retro-stylishlish influenced and that way it's more than okay !

Could not get the modules running on my true Amiga hardware as well.

ghandy: woaw, didn't expect such nice words from you .. :)--< Im truelly touched, and now I probably erase the snakefighting article about you in our combined issue.. damn! :)

You've summed me up perfectly there!

If you have fun doing it, i'd say yeah!

At least I had a good time reading the articles, and it's obvious at lot of effort went into making this mag, nice work! Thanks!

massive mag which I had to read in UAE because it wouldn't start on my amiga.

it's filled with untrue rumours though =) don't believe half of what they say!
