Ambient demo with low quality textures and wrong texture coordinates - See the 'greetings' layers : I mean, how difficult is it to notice that and have it fixed ...

well if you close an eye for the nasty glitches and fucking desktop resolution, this is well designed and has a nice mood. and the font of the credits part is very cool.

Like the music and the credits part. But the rest of the effects are totally uninteresting, layout is poor (things in the middle, over each other, shoved to the camera) and the annoying jerky movements that I suppose are meant to be some kind of syncs don't seem to follow a certain beat very well.
I've thumbed down much much worse, but this still isn't good unless you're desperate for demos to watch.

Not that anybody would care, but I thought I'd share some background about this demo.. we we're working on a scripting system, and asm '03 was coming up. Mempheria was busy, so I got this tune from Volantiz. Not being a very typical amc tune, I didn't really know what to do with it.. so I decided I'd do a take on the infamous "haujobb-demo" (the one all the other ones look like), or rather a parody of sorts... as the work progressed during asm, I realized I was failing miserably:
1) Parodies should typically make people associate to the original.
2) They should be funny.
So, I thought.. Fuck it, I've spent time on it so I'll release it. It'll be fun to see the reactions.
Btw, Navis:
The only end user we were aiming for at the time was the asm jury and atendees. I had no intention whatsoever of releasing it, and as you may notice Preacher was the one to add it, with due warning about the screen resolution fuckup.
It's not like this is the only buggy party-coded demo that was ever entered into a compo...
About the title:
It's Socrates last words, alluring to the ancient greek tradition of sacrificing a cock to Aesculapius whenever you've been rid of a terrible illness. In Socrates case the illness was life, in our case it was working on this sorry excuse for a demo.. ;)
Oh - feel free to open iDemo.dat in your favourite text editor and witness the madness involved in the creation of this demo.
