Coded by John Hood and Tomasz Pytel's (TRAN), this Tetris / Dr. Mario clone is one of my all time favorite puzzle games. :)

Great music with the GUS (2 or 3 tracks to choose from if I Remember right), and Tran's patented psychedelic background plasma animations.

Great fun, I wish there was a windows version!

Indeed, very well designed game, with excellent music, nice effects and top-notch playability! One of the best scene games of the time.

Suffers from the problem that most games of this type suffer.. it's way too easy for a way too long time to be effective. It's pretty though :)

I used to play this a lot and from time to time still give it a go. Good gameplay, although hardly original, great music and gfx.

Great GFX for the time I guess, addictive game. First it seemed annoyingly easy to lose, that was before I discovered that you can rotate the blocks. ;)
Even then the position of the rotation keys is annoying. I don't like leaning my hand over the keyboard. Something like z/x would've been better IMO. (Also discovered the /s switch)

I think I'll try doing a GB clone...

ahh, the xixit playoffs at mini-impulse '95 <3 (and the registered version finding its way onto my pc :).. iirc i got up to level 23 or something.. takes a while tho.

yeah, there've been tons of columns type games over the years, but having one with scene effects and music made this special.

If only it were the registered version... the backgrounds now are hardly distracting at all.
Still pretty incredible, though, especially the music...

great code, great music (particularly the menu and level songs from necros), and a decent game too. if i recall correctly, the registered version allows for two-player games via some sort of network interface.

Not only plasma as I said when I didn't touch it in the past, but if you play there are two other effects in the background, nice musics, columns game that has some challenge as you go on.

I love that game, somehow music doesn't play on DOSBOX either bad copy either bad emulator

Music works just find in DOSBox. As long as you enter the correct configuration by running SETUP.BAT, of course...
best gamemusic ever

Beautiful game... I like the graphics (love the plasma background, for example) and the soundtrack, sounding pretty much like the "90s PC Tracker scene" music.
