There is an STf version of the skullsphere on my website... But the vertically mapped cube cannot be done this fast on STf i think (vertically it can!).
ooooooooops, *horizontal* mapping can easily be made on STf...

Hi exocet... I still have a (needless to say: wonderfull) gfx from you, and i now feel i must use it! I coded a squareroot routine yesterday and has more ideas... Let's hope! :)
it would be a shame to leave exocet's gfx unused, they usually kick ass ;)
