Another from the fast mac compo - this one is in fact the first dock demo. It runs entirely as an icon in the dock (similar to the task bar for windows, but prettier). Nothing too special other than that, just an animated fractal and a sinus scroller, but all running with nice alpha transparency.

Extra respect to Sol for releasing it early and with sources for others to learn how to do dock demos!

Some Anaconda demos also run as icons in the taskbar (win32 here) when minimized. Nice feature :)

I'm pretty sure I've seen something like this on Acorn risc before?

Still, something a bit different here.

Thumb up for the idea, but as said the demo itself is pretty simple..

. I like how you feel the need to explain this to people.

Cute concept, now all it needs is something more fancy.

Also (correct me if i'm wrong) I believe this is the first true 64kb demo on osx! (I missed that.. the file info on OSX isn't too clear). (And yes, there are a few earlier 64k's listed for osx.. but as far as i'm aware they're all ports, and all are larger than 64k).

really nice dock demo! It's scary how that little code becomes such a big executable. That's sure something for mac coders too learn how too deal with. :)

the 64k application contains an icon.. and the icon takes around 50% of that space. So its pretty small.

Link broken, but should soon be fixed. It's for PPC and won't run on anything recent :(
