Sounded ok in the Hatari emulator but I could not make it boot on my 1040STFM. It loaded about 7 sectors and then reset the machine. If it had worked on real hw, I'd give it a thump up.
Technically sound :)
Breaking the limits!
ggn's words!
Great.
Thumb for technical gimmick.
Well for "normal" STs its nice.
good idea...
Impressive!
20 years after being built, the ST is finally able to replay 15 years old mods ripped from Amiga in a decent quality ;) seriously, 50khz is amazing.
YM. :)
Of course a thumb is mandatory here for that really fast modplayer.
:D
50 KHz !!!
WTF !!?!!
WTF !!?!!
Fantastic work, dude.
never commented this one? This is without contest the fastest MOD replay code ever seen on STF. Be able to play 50Khz MOD on a simple ATARI STF is just technically amazing!
Would be interesting to listen to the "Static Chaos" main theme from the demo by NoSoul Production of the Silents. The module uses some tricky stuff there...
Sim, I think it worth to test Hextracker by Paulo Simoes and see if it works well https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=56822
(it can also play 16 voices on the 1040 STf)

Fantastic quality of sound including both treble & bass. Like STe in mono. But the resolution less than 8bits of samples is too less - eg. Jack Dance and Sleepwalker contain many noises, End Theme plays better on the 8-bit ATARI in demo The Top 3: https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=14657
And smooth scroling screen during playing show power of the replay routine.
