Well, this isn't a PocketPC demo, but there were no GP32 in the platform list. The hardware of the GP32 is pretty close to PocketPC so i guess it will have to do.

A nice demo on a different piece of hardware.

Seems like i spelled the title wrong, it's supposed to be baardei, not baardbei.

I won't thumb up my own production, but I'll just say a few things. The hardware is gp32, based on a 20-133mhz ARM920t core (software selectable), 8mb dram, 4chn pcm sound, 320x240 16/8 bit lcd, uses smartmedia cards for storage (smc goes up to 128mb). It's a bit like a beefed up GBA, with a free SDK. Info about gp32 at:

gp32.emu.pl
www.gp32news.com

Sorry I couldn't do something more interesting but I was on a schedule. Since there are 2 gp32 demos on pouet maybe we should have a gp32 section? :)

thanks a_lee_n for the screenshots, you're a darling :)

does it run on geepee32? with what firmware?

I haven't tried it with pacrom, but seems to work fine with the original.

make sure you unzip the .fxe and the dir+module into gp:/gpmm, and use fresh batteries because the demo runs at 133mhz

inopia: looks cool, but to quote a fellow scener -> "at least TRY to do something interesting, instead of coding the same intros over and over again. Where's the fun in that? You could just as well don't code anything at all"

dash dash dash, 2d tunnels and rotating knots? :-D
Both this and the other crashes on GeePee32, even if I succeeded finding the rom for that emulator. A friend of mine says that GeePee32 is not good yet at emulating..

rasmus: you're absolutely 100% right.

optimus: geepee32 isn't a bad emu in that it runs most stuff, but just not my demo (I think it crashes on chn's soundroutines using DMA stuff) I coded the thing on the real hw using the pclink upload+execute feature so I don't know when it stopped working in the emu.

Just get a GP32 you cheap bastards! :)

Obviously someone linked directly to a file. Each downloaded megabyte costs money, PD Roms can not and will not allow this. If you like this page support it and don't steal others bandwidth.

Please remember that it is forbidden and against the user agreement of this page, to directly link files.

??? a working link please :(
