Yeah... a very early C64 intro of mine... I guess that must have been around 1986... holy shit... that was 40 years ago... I feel old now... anywaaaay

If I remember correctly, this was the intro with my first overscan scroller. The observant viewer will notice that the scroller is exactly 6 dots high.

Guess why?

Exactly... with overscan on c64, if you don’t disable the entire screen, you get badlines. Back then, I didn’t know that... I must have been around 14 or 15 at the time.
A little later, I found out that you can also shift the badlines using the y-shift. Hmm, unfortunately it wasn’t released… too bad...

We later ported this 3D stuff to the Amiga and used it in Axxess intros (https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=10696)

Anyway, as always, of course as a total loser with no contacts I didn’t release “Parallax”… you’ve got to write something in the scroller, after all :) I didn’t know any of the people I said hi to either… okay, except for “hot” (that was me with a friend) :)
Back then, it was already clear that I was a big Rob Hubbard fan. I still really love this music alot.

At that time, I didn’t have a C64 yet, which means large parts of the intro were created in a department store in Hamburg.
Luckily, I know the salespeople pretty well, and they let me do a little coding on the computers.

Pretty cool time...
