Just a quick heads-up to clarify a mix-up at ROMA.EXE. The party system had an issue with file uploads/deletes, and unfortunately, the compo machine played an earlier draft of my intro instead of the final .com file. To clear up any confusion if you watched the stream: compo version: Had yellow lambert shading, included sound, and lacked clean ESC support.

FINAL VERSION (HERE): Features the intended red octahedron, improved lighting with fake Gouraud shading, clean ESC support, and no sound to make room for the visual upgrades. I hope you enjoy the proper, polished version! Keep the 256b scene alive.

Excellent idea, and impressive that you managed to fit all that in 256b, but at least on my voodoo2 it doesn't work. I suppose it's voodoo1-only since it's bare metal.

Now this is some Voodoo 3dfx!

@Nuclear: I had to hardcode the base address to 0xD0000000. Most likely, your system mapped the Voodoo 2 to a different physical address. Also the intro blindly assumes the PCI initEnable bit was left enabled by a previous program. I do believe the Voodoo 2 should be backwards compatible. As far as I know the drawing registers share the same offsets on both cards.

@rudi I figured out the base address, it was df000000, and reassembled the code, but it hanged immediately before showing anything. Maybe initEnable is an issue, though I did run one of my own glide tests before running oktaeder, to hopefully give it a chance to have it enabled. Very interesting though, I'll dig deeper and get back at you if I figure something out

Updated the Github repo last week with a few fixes, so this is pretty much the final version (unless something weird pops up). Thanks so hellmood for the testing and finding some bugs helping me do a proper version. vidcap just uploaded. OBS studio was not cooperative, so sorry for the crappy quality.
