It genuine is a tribute from me to crackers.
I have always seen cracking as magic and have always looked up to those who were able to do cracks. Now I know a little bit about how cracking works and it makes me more impressed with what they did/do.

He played the game to see that the crack worked and scored on the opponent
and then made a goal gesture.
I think the picture fits, like he celebrates that the crack is working.
