Much appreciated fix and great intro!
The only 96KB and even STEreo music !
Nice intro for some cool hackers!
Wow, this is great! THE hard drive fix, and awesome intro! :)
Bliss!
Yes! ;)
Cool concept to pair an intro with some useful fix!
powwwwwwwww
Appreciate the effort.
I've got an 'early' TOS 1.6 STE with that issue.
Unfortunately I discovered it in 1991 and got a friend to replace the chip.

Really nice work! It was very exciting listening to Nerve telling me all about this at Black Valley.
Nice
ok
:)
many thanks Team, many thanks Christian 'czietz' Zietz
Cool intro, and congrats for the fix!
heh ...
i fixed one STe out of two machines only a month or so ago, and now while clearing my demo backlog i bump into this ...
I assume this doesnt work like the acsi2stm ( https://www.16-32bit.eu/acsi2stm ) where you can patch it to work with "bad" dma but you get a drive that transfers data at 10-20% of the standard speed, making it good to load games but not to run demos like bad apple or coders guide.
?
If its so i can possibly still fix up the other one although the stm has been patched already but the question to me :
does it fix the DMA sound issue ? ( :) gotta love Atari) the other machine has bad dma sound , meaning its all there, the tests detect it and all demos run fine but i need a 90s amp cranked to the max to get a faint sound
otherwise, this is a great moment in st history countering Atari's fumbling to the masses id say ... now only missing a mister fpga core for the falcon because i heard that was being decapped too (and falcons are out of reach of my wallet in 2025 and gods know i tried ...)
