I personally loved the visuals and the flow. I found it to be a perfect color choice. The amount of variety you managed to achieve from this effect was kind of stunning.

I think Uncle-X is probably overreacting and hopefully not too demotivating. Finding “a human to make music” is probably easier for him than for you. But I do agree with the overall problem. If you ever need a soundtrack for a demo, don’t hesitate to drop me a message on Discord — I can send you a short list of “humans” who love to collaborate..

Yeah maybe i should have elaborated on the thumb a bit: it’s only because of the AI music. The visuals were quite nice in fact, and if the music would have been made by a human my thumb would have definitely pointed the other way.

Maybe you should think for a second before you thumb down works of newcomers. I understand this AI-debate partly when demoscene-veterans are punished that way, but newcomers can be deterred by this and turn away from the scene, which would be very sad.

And by the way: Not everyone knows a musician who can make fitting music for him/her. When I started in 2010 I didn't know anyone in the scene. I had the advantage that I could make my own music, but if that hadn't been the case, it could have been a real problem.

I don't mind AI partly being used in music production, but otherwise demo is a bit uneventful for my taste. Nice flow though, don't get discouraged!

Mostly answering gaspode, but maybe this is useful for other newcomers or people having a hard time finding musicians.

Easy music solution:

Go to demoscene discord a few months before a party, write ”I’m working on a demo / my first demo, but i don’t have music. Anyone want to pitch in?” and your problems will be solved.

If your message gets lost in the banter and no-one answers, or if you’re just shy and afraid to ask, just pm me on that discord server and i will gladly help you find a musician, as there is nothing that i love more than seeing cool new demos made by humans.

Now as this is a prod comment page i will not write more about this subject here.

The robot that made the music seems to have more charisma and soul than some biocentric haters who insist on restricting the creative freedom of the demo's author.
