Yep. Alchemy is referred to as a protoscience instead of a pseudoscience for good reason. Let's not forget that Newton was an alchemist. -
Maybe the so-called "social sciences" are the protosciences of the future. You know what the alternative would be. :D -

In that sense, any kind of thought (logical or otherwise) is an application of logic. -
True, but modern science applies a particular system with roots in epistemology. Of course, different sciences apply that method with varying purity. I'm rambling here, but I just think that dismissing soft sciences as non-sciences is kind of arbitrary, because that line can be drawn anywhere. -
