re firefox/DNS: that's an opt-in study, and afaik there are no plans to make it default at all. see this HN comment and its replies, and the linked FF blog post: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=17690992 -
next stop sörnäinen - (to briefly clarify, DNS over HTTPS is opt-in with no default provider, and there's an opt-in study as a partnership with cloudflare)
- It doesn't look opt-in to me considering that my Firefox already seems to be using it and I don't remember agreeing to it.
- gargaj: well, that goes directly against what the FF team said in their blog post :) but regardless, which channel are you on? because the feature only even exists in nightly atm
