- Techno should evolve for sure, but I'd rather it take some cues from the 90s than a lot of the current directions... also with that said I didn't actually listen to the mix or w/e

I dunno. I feel modern electronic music, techno included has evolved but the main stream pop electronic music is way gliche than it has ever been. the more underground stuff is better and a lot of it is still to BE be discovered. -
The problem is that everyone has a different idea on what "evolution" is. :) - imo just the opposite of "stagnate", also branch pop music has gotten better at what its aim is
- Dubstep evolved into brostep, that doesn't mean it's what people hoped it would do. :)

techno definitely evolved. check labels like opal tapes, 1080p or modern love or for house 100% silk - slightly hipster but still evolved. -
the usual goal of evolution=adaptation to new/changing environment; in the music case, adaptation to listeners taste/number of yt views/plays on soundcloud etc... - gargaj: depends who "people" is, but I'd say they did
