Amstrad 320x200 mode so annoying.. -
Sam Coupe is so cool -
I have no idea how to make fullscreen effects on Sam Coupe. video memory seems soo looooooooooong -
Just like CPC. But one way is you don't do, some software effects on CPC is smaller screen too. Or you can use Mode 2 maybe, big horizontal blocky pixels. And I have some ideas in my mind, but I don't mind if effect is not always fullscreen. -
a new episode of http://www.redbullmusicacademy.com/magazine/diggin-in-the-carts .. mentions '89 first extra sound chip on game. On MSX they had same '87... -

maybe Sam Coup and CPC needs DMA like GBC? -
Yeah, it would help. But it's still good machine, some of the demos and games are impressive. -
I tried to reverse some demos not for ripping, rather than undestand code. This is so complicated.. -
There is little memory bandwidth left in the CPC for DMA. Amstrad Plus manages to squeeze some during the horizontal blanking but you can't do more. -

MODE 1 (320x200) on the CPC has some similarities to the Spectrum graphics mode. What is so annoying? Also, are there any good docs about GBC DMA? -
Spectrum has 256x192, but CPC has 320x200. Just feel the difference:) About DMA - lurk latest release with link to sources, here is DMA used. -
Ah, yes, the numbers are out of byte range. ;) But you can program the CRTC to resize the screen to 256x192! Thanks for the tip! I'll take a look at the sources.
