finishing a demo and wondering what the music is going to be like -
Weekend \o/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJglmZn1fOE -
seeing the demo, and also wondering what the music is going to be like -
wondering how the fuck can you start making a demo without having music first -
teamwork :P -
Knowing no musician and needing something to show before searching for one? -
Hehe, sometimes it's fun the music driving the demo and not the other way around. -
navis has often mentioned he usually plans the whole demo before asking amusic for the soundtrack, it's just a matter of habit i guess. -
plan a demo? -
just code stuff and have the musician worry about the details :) -
storyboards and shit -
music has much more rigid rules as far as timing goes than visuals do; don't paint your musician in a corner. -
either way it's tough -
gargaj: musicians have been happily scoring movies after they are done for years :p they have lived to tell the tale, im sure demoscene musicians can handle it aswell :p -
Also, finding the right rythm and then do micro BPM changes and stuff to get the sync right can be a lot of fun :) -
ever wondered why tracks on a film soundtrack CD are usually 1-2 minute long? -
Gargaj: out of curiosity - why? I have no idea. Just to not bore the listener, or because of frequent cuts in a movie?
