typo-ing on the oneliner like a boss. -
cats rulez teh world. -
So picking from two exact same GPUs, which build is preferred: Sapphire or ASUS? -
cats are the only specy that succes in my hypnotic machines without rape or abuse. -
gargaj: what price-range? In the sub-$100 it doesn't really matter IMHO, but in the middle segment and above, go ASUS. -
@gargaj: gigabyte. ;)) if sph&asus are only options, I would opt for asus. it's usually cheapest and in addition to that, I had overheating problems with some sapphire cards few years ago. -
ASUS for raw performance, Sapphire if you are willing to sacrifice (IMHO a negligible amount of) speed for a quiet fan -
While we are at it, which Ultrabook should I buy around 1000 € -
@chromag, I would say (which ultrabook - that I use daily) but would end up in flames. ;)) -
The two cards in question (HD7770) are practically the same price; fan volume doesn't matter, but I'd be interested which one doesn't die in 6 months. -
For reference I've got 3 Sapphire cards (5670 in my DAW, 6850 in my video capture machine, 6950 w/ unlocked 6970 shaders in the @party compo machine) and I've never had heat issues though all 3 cases have excellent airflow. -
(@chromag: hint - it runs maverics by default ;) ) -
In my experience both brands are excellent, buy the one with better box art ;P -
my asus nvidia 660 ti is slightly overclocked and has two fans which makes it really silent. oh and the pakage read "now 20% cooler". -
i have a palit gtx770 jetstream cos i will never buy ati/amd stuff ever again cos they die within months. it has 3 fans but silent as a sneaky fart! -
gtx660 here, no more ATI=no demo -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCNNvLrqFN8 -
ATI=no demo -
ATI = demo. Lazy coder = no demo. -
Bonefish: I'm thinking about that certain thing, too :D -
I dont care if you dont see my demo. ATI=no demo and thats it. -
chromag: being using them since 2009., but since they've started using i5 - they become my main work&fun comp. only downsize is that they tend to come hot when doing some gpu intensive stuff or programming in UAE (cycle-exact) for 10+ hours in a row. solved with smcfancontrol app (more noise = less hea -
Hm, they are really expensive, though... -
Hi, morons! Did you miss me?(◣ _ ◢)┌∩┐
