It depends on the application you are writing, but I've found Unity3D to be a good and performant true crossplatform toolkit for mobile development. It is definitely not the right choice for stuff that requires your app to run in the background (but you can code yourself out of that), and pixel perf - † Speak with Dead †
- and pixel perfect layouting on multiple resolutions is kind of a bitch (but Unity2D looks like it will give a better workflow at least).
