- demo MS-Dos PYO PYO by Rustbloom
- For the compo machine spec GUS is required, and also specified by infofile to be required.
If you run on a much higher powered machine, then SB is okay I guess. (Like Nuclear already reported.) For that possibility the other-than-GUS support is left there and not enforced. - isokadded on the 2019-08-04 01:45:12

- Nuclear, there's no disk loads except in the start.
I don't get why it would stop dead on your machine at scene transitions as all heavy initialization is done at start and usually not that much is done when effect changes. Even some backbuffer clears are amortized over several frames at end of previous effect so that there's no heavy stops. What graphics adaptor do you have? Does the demo run significantly different then when compared to the youtube video? Note that there's an intentional "pause" at start of the bouncing ball, synced with the drop in music, while the lines are drawn in.
It says GUS because that's what's it is meant to be run with & targeted for, and performance was aimed for that performance-wise. We tested with slower machine than what you have. It's possible that the sw mixing that tune takes too much power on SB. - isokadded on the 2019-08-04 00:11:47

- This is one of my all-time favorite intros!
Big part of the feeling is made by the cool ad lib music, unfortunately the GBA version didn't replicate that...
Nice to see nowadays this can be made run well also in DOSBox. - rulezadded on the 2015-08-24 12:32:18
