- 64k Windows fr-030: candytron by Farbrausch [web]
- A while back I found myself thinking how cool it would be if more demos made as much effort with sound as they did with the visuals. FR restore my faith in a piss-taking 64K. Rocks my socks.

- demo Windows Open Your Eyes by Critical Mass
- 'Nuff whining like little bitches! Watching it with the sound off, some nice scene design and construction, character animation (although a bit remeniscent of the walking scene in 3DMark), creative use of mis-en-scene effects... so it still gets a thumbs-up.
Now I've voted, turning the sound back up, nice sync and atmosphere befitting the choice of track. What's more its another demo that's introduced me to something I didn't know.
You don't shout at Chris Cunningham because he didn't write "Come to Daddy". It's a creative response to a piece of art, and .'. valid - just a horse of a different stable. When people pass people's work off as their own then it's exploitative and it sucks, but if you really can't see the difference between that and this then, well, bof :) - rulezadded on the 2002-09-19 13:54:11
- demo Windows Movement by Peon [web]
- Oh yes. If you're a fan of particle effects like I am... The one pictured is particularly well done: it does look like flocking of some kind. Also look out for the "vapour trail" ones like in the second part of VIP2. Oh yeah, and that scene that looks like its made of a million little shards of glass - I think that's the most particles I've seen on screen, ever. :) Particle heaven!!! :)

- wild Animation/Video lackluster: 13/10/99 by Sunflower [web]
- Sweet Jesus, this is an awesome prod. Staggeringly beautiful visuals, well realised ideas, execution-confounding sequences, subtlety... and a superb ambient soundtrack as well. Almost worth selling a kidney on ebay to pay for cost of the download time.

- demo Windows Liquid... Wen? by Haujobb
- So close, but this is like Haujobb vs Scooby Doo
And you would have got away with it too if it wasnt for you pesky -
- Transparent tendril objects, AGAIN
- Airbrush/smear paintings, AGAIN
That said, the smoke/lightning in part one and the water in part two are superb. - isokadded on the 2002-08-06 15:18:51
- demo Windows So Abstract World by Throb [web] & the|neonray [web]
- Nice strong, technologically-transparent design, the motion in the "2D" scenes is especially well done. And some nice touches between unzipping the archive and the first scene too ;)

- demo Windows Edge Of Forever by Andromeda Software Development [web]
- This is very very cool. I mean there's enough material here to fill a few demos, effects come and go at a ridiculous pace, transitions are fluid and make sense too.

- demo MS-Dos Second Reality by Future Crew
- I'd seen a few demos when this came out. but this is the one that kicked me up the arse, threw me round the room, and made me want to *make* demos. As PC demos go, it's seminal. Technically it just absolutely blew me away. It also features one of the best soundtracks of any demo ever... (and I'm sad enough to admit that I have the cityscene music as my ringtone :) )
/me bows down. - rulezadded on the 2002-04-20 04:35:22
- 64k Windows eastside works by Aardbei [web]
