- demo Commodore 64 Portal by Lepsi Developments & Miracles
- There's a lot here that I just don't understand, but I like it.

- Oh my god, the trees, the birds, the flow, the artrock! :)
(Kind of makes me wonder if they're trying to say something, though. ASD are absolutely awesome at what they're doing, and what everyone else is also trying to do, but maybe they should try something with a narrative that doesn't just look like it's thrown together sometime. That might take this to the godlike level.) - rulezadded on the 2007-08-05 22:31:58

- Oswald: The reason why I've refrained from commenting on releases a lot lately is that as soon as I say something negative, I get reactions like yours. So please, do we have to love every release, or should we only comment on releases that we love?

- The graphics are converted. The effects are trivial. So are most effects. I would have voted this as second in the compo, I think.

- demo Commodore 64 Arok Scroll by Chorus
- I don't like the picture at all, it looks way too converted and touched up with its random colour combinations, and the Chorus logo and the blue background don't really fit in. But what do I know, it might be design.
The actual scrolltext is pretty good. - isokadded on the 2007-07-19 21:26:12

- With musicians like Dane and HCL in the group, you shouldn't have to recycle old tunes, but I guess using an old compo winning one is a good way to ensure that people will say "great tune!" and turn their thumbs to the sky. This demo rocks, but I'd loved to be able to use shift/lock in the first part.

- oswald: At least I've got bigger balls than Krill, and that's what always counts, although his are in the sideborder.
And everything you've ever done was also done by Ash&Dave 20 years ago. :) - isokadded on the 2007-07-11 23:27:44

- StingRay: "realtime" is about as well defined a term as "subjective". But with 3 degrees of freedom, full screen resolution and the full circle drawn every frame, you know it's not a naive implementation (there is no "super optimized circle drawing routine" and an unrolled eor filler or something, because that wouldn't help). It's much more realtime than animation.
The circle part is a slightly modified version of the first effect in Wok/Zombie. I was too stupid back then to realize how easy it'd be to add the x movement. - isokadded on the 2007-07-08 19:43:01
