wasn't it always like this?

also, thanks to gargaj for the "request" system, one of the most useful new features in 2.0, thanks a lot!

chrome runs user scripts just fine, and there are loads of wysiwyg editors that output bbcode.

Of course. For any common thing there's got to be at least a dozen solutions. :)

Also, I guess Chrome was what I was thinking of. I don't use it as a main browser and the times I've been in the settings page nothing really stood out. Means more people can use the bb-button-editor thing then. :)

18:08 < alk> hey Tomoya it just occurred to me that banned accounts still contribute to prods thumb scores
18:09 < alk> does it seem right?
18:11 < Tomoya> alk: post that in the thread where gargaj can see it :)

(:?

Unless they were created explicitly for upvoting or downvoting a prod (there have been cases), I think a good chunk of them made honest votes on things before they did something stupid (in this BBS or such) to warrant banning. However it's probably easier just to handle them in an all-or-nothing manner as the banned state doesn't really differentiate.

This should also probably be posted in the "2.0 bugs me" thread.
The bbcode buttons work great in midori - cheers McBain!

Now who will add it to script.js and forge a pull request from it? :)

I tried. Let's see how this goes.
It's not a complete replacement as it just includes the editor-specific bits. Stuff like the automatic-"by line" adder for quotes is not in the request.
how about the ability to embed yt and soundcloud in posts?
preferably with autoplay enabled to make for some great trolling ability? =)

wysiwtf: great idea, also make it possible to hide the frame it's embedded into, so it runs unstoppable in the bg :D

considering all the trumpets in the background. i'd love to have louis armstrong MIDIs playing in the background while reading the bbs!
gif has no sound, so the annoyance level is way too low. i want to be able to make a thread with all autoplaying some instruments and rhythms from soundcloud and use the bbs as the tracker :D

I updated the user script so works in Chrome now, without the "by line" insertion feature.

And this?

No, no it doesn't. It pretends to be like GreaseMonkey, but somewhere along the path from existing to being useful, it tripped and faceplanted. Like a lot of other Chrome stuff. The "by line" insertion code requires access to Prototype, which is loaded as part of the Pouet page. I understand that if I want direct access to page stuff, that for security I shouldn't also have access to special user script APIs that have "super powers". This is why I marked the script "@grant none" for GreaseMonkey. It's as if Pouet loaded the script itself. Chrome doesn't do that. Chrome decided that user scripts should have a sandbox, and never ever leave because apparently it's okay to break a whole lot of existing user scripts (before mine) without providing an alternative, ignoring the secure "@grant none" option for reasons nobody Chrome dev will divulge.

But I'm not bitter. No, I already hated Chrome. I will never get why people use it.

but anyway :) now it should work. For users of sane browsers should work the same as before. Have a nice day. :)

It won't really matter in the end if the site ever adds support for [quote=userid] support and generates what that part of the script was doing anyway. I think with the current pull request for just the toolbar, if it gets accepted too, eventually this user script will be completely obsolete. I think that's a good thing.

(I don't know enough about the codebase to make a pull request for the quote attribute handling.)
(whoops, wrote "support" twice there.)
It seemed to be cached when downloading it to another computer to use, having already tried it there before the fix. So for the record the version Chrome users want is 1.0.2.5
Enjoy the watchlist-feature

More about it here.

Maybe it could be extended to groups as well (show N latest comments for a production by a group or something)? If I want to watch the comments that my productions get, I could just subscribe to the group instead of the 100 individual productions.
