Alright everyone.
The first version of the timetable is online. Some things may slightly change, but it should be quite final already.

"some things" i guess mean "events added"?

Events, Concerts and Seminars will be announced separately.

@xerxes: My offer is still valid.
Gimme the track, I will submit it with my real name and the beamslide will spell "Fantastic Trackname" by "xSiRxes^Brainstorm". Prize money will be shared 50-50 and you will receive also free beer and sausage at our (ex-)scx/atz/(ex-)mexx-bbq!

Sceners residing in .pl, or sceners who can easily visit .pl : I would be very happy to pay you the purchase price plus 10,00€ for one litre of Żubrówka. If you wish to do this, please email me at questions @ atparty - demoscene . net.

I am attempting to bring Sortilège as well to share.
Not sure if it was mentioned in the thread before (didn't see it while browsing through the pages), but perhaps it's useful to someone still looking for a hotel place to stay.

The Mercure Hotel Saarbruecken Sued still offers rooms starting at 45,- EUR per night.

There are some catches though:
  • No refund and Cash up-front (for the 45,- price at least)
  • no breakfast included
  • it is further away both from the party place and the inner city than the hotels listed on the revision hotel list and probably requires some wheeled form of individual transportation (Google Maps for reference)

Disclaimer:
I don't get a cut for reservations at Mercure ^^; this is not intended to discourage bookings of the hotels with discount via the tourism office of Saarbrücken, and I absolutely appreciate the Revision team organizing hotel deals at all!

That hotel won't be covered by our night-shuttle - just so you know.

Damn, yes, that should have made the top of the "some catches"-list. I only hinted at it with the "wheeled form of transportation" might be required, sorry . :-/

@Timetable ... Isnt Wild at 18:00 a bit very much early? And Web Browser at 22:30 ??? Would totally swap that. Or is there *that* much activity in the WebBrowser demo sector?

wertstahl: you have to consider the fact that our compo team needs to review, test and partially record around 300 entries during the entire event - and even they earned a little break now and then.

I can reveal that Mercure Süd is about 15 euros away in taxi or 30ish minutes by bus, so if you go there alone and have to pay back and forth you dont really save anything :p

Speaking from bitter experience of someone who... accidently booked mercure süd through hotels.com back in 2011 :D

@D.Fox - my undoubted respect to the compo team and all people on the ground being buisy bees! I was really just wondering about the weighting browser demo vs wild demo. since i expected it to be some prime time compo - but well, okay :-) (and yes i know, not everybody likes wild - this is just my opinion and i just wanted to ask :-) )

Hey d.fox... how about this constellation:

non gema member is stated as written by...
gema member is stated as produced by...

That shouldn't give any trouble. the gema is writing, that they make no claims then... they can not determine the proportion of non-copyrightable gema members.

yeah sure, risk it. you're not the one getting fined afterwards.

Getting fined afterwards? For what? ...

I have NEVER sell any CENT to Gema since 1997. And have done Events too.

I will have a call with the GEMA again monday because i've read that in a Gema-Briefing about collaborating between Gema Members and Non-Gema Members.
They wrote: "They do not demanding".

I want it in written Form of them, especialy for the revision event...
I do not accept, that i can not participate to combos anymore!

Please let it go already - it's not happening. And it's not our rules - it's the rules of the organization you signed up with:

Quote:
Every member of GEMA assigned all their rights in all of their music, past and present works, to GEMA. No GEMA member has a choice whether he or she wants the rights in a specific work assigned. All rights to all works are assigned. Love it or don’t be a GEMA member.

I recently met a friend ( Mr. Kato, some folks might remember him when he lived in Cologne ). He's a GEMA registered artist, and he told me that in his contract he decides what tune he will register with GEMA which will undergo the described procedures of listing and whatnot. All tunes he chooses not to register at GEMA are thereby "gemafrei", that is, they wont appear in those infamous lists because they never got enrolled in them.
added on the 2013-03-10 11:02:12 by d0DgE d0DgE
atleast that's how he *thinks* his contract works. it's normal procedure that you register tracks directly, but they will claim compensation even for unregistered tracks (as D.Fox also states above).

well, in cases of unrightful claims by GEMA, provided that one has the will and liquidity, sueing the hell out of those sons 'o bitches would be in order.
added on the 2013-03-10 11:23:49 by d0DgE d0DgE
To be honest - we have neither. This is a hobby to us - an expensive and time-demanding to say the least. The last I want to do between Demoparties is to fight legal battles and jeopardize the future of Revision in the process.
