thinking about opening sources of etherea1 this week

category: offtopic [glöplog]
hello fellows,

i wrote this code some time ago, and looked for a group to make a nice demo with, but having not found, i'm now considering opening the sources:

http://www.etereo.com.br

post something here if you think it's nice (or not).

cheers

i recall sending you some emails trying to help you out in terms of getting a soundtrack for that and you never replied back.

Why not adding more stuff into the engine and creating a real demo with it as a one-man-group? the unreleased 64k looks nice btw.
Ok, i might be considered as some kind of mad guy because of what I'll say, moreover knowing the past i've had on this site. These good old times are now over, and life treated me with as much reason and hardness one could handle. Hopefully, I found my way.
This is the way of humanity. I'll write the following with the higher human side I can find in myself.
Imerso. You, dude. I would ignore you in real life because of the non-sense of what you dude are doing. Once upon a time, you join our channel, asking to be hired. Some days after, you say that you want to leave the group because you ain't auto op'd when joining the channel. One might say that's a funny reason to leave a group. How cynical.
You joined again, all motivated with new projects in the oven and today, just because someone you were talking to in the channel told you he had to leave for a little bit of time.
Alright, dude. If that is another reason not to respect us, alright. You know what, I'm even happy you got out. You take this shit way too seriously and that would have been a real pain to work with you.
We're not here for these reasons, imerso. We're not here because of a status on irc.
You know, this thing called humanity? Like, just take in consideration that the people you're talking to have a life beside their keyboard. A life built on normal things like being oneself, being free-minded because of self honesty, honesty, and such. If I remember correctly, we even had a talk about that.
I seriously don't think anyone will be able to work in those conditions with you. Seeing what my beloved ps (hi, bro.) wrote here ain't even surprising now that I know you.
If you want to laugh at anyone acting this way, I seriously advice you not to keep this up and stay in your corner for a while. Until you learn one thing.
Let the other be.

And a sentence ain't complete in my precedent post. But that's another story, which gets all by itself at the end anyways.

No one cares about open source, to be honest, even if your engine looks pretty cool. Why don't you make a demo with it? Seriously. Get a piece of music from somewhere and start working on it.

Gargaj, well, that wasn't really complaining. That rather was some kind of "warning" to you guys if you ever want to work with imerso.
That's about it.
Hi, Guardian.

this personal attack from irokos is a complete injustice.

to start with, i never took any resources from his group, be it names, graphics, musics, or anything else.

i was invited to his group, contrary to his statement.

i hanged in their #titan.hq channel for a while, always offering help to work on any of their demos, which was never heard.

i offered them to make a demo using my own source-code, which i developed alone, in my house and my spare time, way before i joined his group.

and i even sent to them the full source-code of etherea1, which was never used -- at least not in a way that could be called "in group".

so i decided to left the group. i see no prejudice to them in any way, so i can't understand his reasons to come publically and try to make me look like a dishonest person.

what mr. irokos thinks that entitles him to publically attack me is beyond my comprehension.

taking freedom as he yells, i don't see why it is not my right to leave the group when i see fit, if i did not take anything from his group.

so, let your conscience be your guide. i won't defend myself here again, because i did nothing wrong to mr. irokos and his group.

thank you.

imerso.

imerso - just stay in the scene - you are talented - you will find a group that suits you.
Don't take this whole issue too serious - but I have to second that taking private things into public was not a nice move.

I eat toilet paper!

(and yes, release the source, by all means)

Er, the techdemo crashes on my XP system. Dunno why.

What's private as long as you consider that your group is honest and sincere between each of his members and that the only "private" things could be considered as "normal relationship inside of a group of friend? And thus why would there be any kind of private thing to hide knowing the fact that it's just pure sincerity and honesty, moreover when there is nothing which can hurt anyone in what I said?
And hey, did I say anything about you not being able to leave the group? No. You can leave the group anytime you wish.
That's kinda incredible to see how you turn away from the real discussion. I'll let that be it.
What you will do is up to you, that was just a warning. And we (Titan) ain't the only one in this case.
Cheers.
