Demo bug in windows 7

category: general [glöplog]

Appologies if this issue has been raised and a fix suggested etc, I did look (breifly haha) for similar threads.

A few demos i've tried to view, most recently this one -> http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=56901 don't seem to display properly.

They start fullscreen but then the startbar becomes visable and nothing seems to remove it. Alt tabbing between windows doesnt fix it either...i'm at a loss.

Im wondering if this is a windows 7 issue or an issue with the few demos its happening on themselves.

Any ideas?

I find a lot of Win7 demo problems can be solved by disabling desktop composition (aero glass) in the compatibility properties for the exe. Give that a go.

I've never encountered any issues with demos on win7, 64-bit (2x AMD HD5770 crossfire), except for DOS stuff of course.

No aero here, I switched to windows classic first thing after installing.

Works fine here on Win7 64bit, Nvidia Quadro FX880M.

Aero ofcorse turned *ON*, why make your guy slower with the CPU instead of the GPU? :)

Yup im also 64bit Ultimate edition. Not tried it with Aero off, ill give that a go.

(_Chucky_ some of us have machines that can handle it, hence why it's on ;))
